Gigamon is seeking a self-motivated experienced Senior Staff QA engineer for a full time position. This position requires a strategic thinker; a problem solver who is a self-starter and self-motivated; well organized, flexible, and effective with multiple simultaneous tasks.
Primary duties include but are not limited to:

- Lab test bed design and setup
- General lab responsibilities
- Test case creation, designs and reviews
- Daily test case management
- Test case automation in parallel to manual test case execution
- Working closely with the automation team to integrate test cases to the full regression test suite.
- Timely test case execution with a customer quality focus
- Field escalations; working with support and development in troubleshooting and reproducing field reported escalation issues
- Bug creation, reproductions and daily management
- Work closely with development to ensure efficient test case progress and bug fix rate
- Understand HW & SW architecture of products, and their implications on feature testing
- Characterize and resolve performance and scalability issues
- Test project lead on occasion
Requirements:
- 8+ years of hands-on QA testing experience including:
- Functional Test, Performance Test, Integration Test, and Interoperability Test
- Creating, implementing and reviewing manual/automated test cases and test suites
- Experience with test case management tools such as Mercury Center, TestRail etc….
- Working knowledge in TCP/IP, L2/L3 protocols, L4 – L7 protocols
- Knowledge of and/or experience with SSL a plus
- Experience with security testing in enterprise key management, PKI, & encryption a plus
- Experience with testing 3G and LTE technologies a plus
- Strong network configuration and troubleshooting skills
- Must be familiar with packet capture tools such as Wireshark, SnifferPro and are able read/understand the capture
- Scripting experience a plus; TCL, Perl, Expect, Python
- Experience with network testing equipment such as IXIA, Spirent, Avalanche, Landslide
- Experience with bug tracking systems such as; Bugzilla, Jira, etc…
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Project/Test lead experience a plus
- Mentor junior QA engineers in QA process and technology
- Min. BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
