Quality Engineer With 'U' Stamped Audit Experience

We are a ASME U Stamped Pressure Vessel/ Boiler Manufacturing Company at Coimbatore.
We need a Quality Engineer with thorough ASME Code Knowledge to take care of complete QA/ QC activities for our Heavy Equipment Fabrication division at Malumachampatti, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India.

Educational Qualification :
> > DME/ BE in Mechanical Engg. with min 3yrs. field experience in Boiler / Pressure Vessel fabrication industry
> > Should have min. of ASNT (NDT) Level-II Certification
> > Must have thorough knowledge about ASME Codes for Boiler & Pressure Vessels;
> > Knowledge in IBR & PED Codes are an added advantage
(Freshers Don't apply)

Required Skills :
- Able to understand Mechanical & Electrical Drawings
-Able to explain the drawing & scope and lead the Team at site
- Should be a knowledgeable in Heavy Industry like boiler manufacturing
- Able to communicate in English, Tamil & (Hindi is an added Advantage)
- Should be a good decision maker
- Thorough Auditing / Inspection knowledge in U Stamped Fabrication Industry like Boiler/ Pressure Vessel Mfg. companies
- Should have knowledge in reading Technical Drawings of Machinery and GD&T
-Should have a ability to detail/ explain the complicated drawings to fitters or subordinates
-Must be a Team Worker and co-ordinate with all levels of teams
- Should be experienced in WPS,PQR, WPQ preparation & Documentation, Welder Qualification and Instruments Calibration & Testing
- Should be experienced in preparation of various Procedures, NDE Procedures, Work Procedures etc.
- Should be Thoroughly experienced in various Inspection activities like Visual, Destructive & Non-Destructive Tests- DPT, PT, UT, RT for Material Identification and Welding
- Should have complete knowledge in handling various Meteorological and Quality apparatus & gauges
- Should have skills set in Preparation & Maintenance of Quality Documents for ASME, TPI & Customers and handling & answering to all for any technical queries if there from any of stakeholders
- Prepare & maintain all Quality Related Documents & Reports like QAP, Inspection Report, NCRs etc. from Material Procurement to Delivery
- Analyze all suppliers in order to select the most suitable suppliers who are able to deliver high quality products at competitive pricing.
- Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit for the company.
- Manage suppliers to meet objectives related to cost, delivery performance, schedule and quality.
- Develop purchasing or sourcing strategies based on portfolio analyses and vendor preferencing study.
- Must have essential skill set to Plan, Monitor & Control of Quality strategy
- Perform Line/ Stage Inspections and to kepp track record of Quality
- Must be ready to travel across India about the project for Material Identification and Suppliers/ Vendors Quality Assurance
- Review and manage the suppliers/ Vendors base to ensure consistency with the Quality & Delivery strategy.
- Perform regular quality performance review with all Vendors & Workers to drive continuous improvements.
- Create monthly performance reviews and reports focusing on overall Quality requirements.
- Ensure commercial, legal and contractual compliances in all the Quality related transactions.
- Adopt appropriate Quality Management methodologies and Quality strategies & Practices in getting to utmost better quality of Product.
- Train team on effective Quality Principles, processes and strategy.

Obligation:
- Must be ready to work under Contract of 2 years
- Candidates should submit their Original Certificates and Passport during the Contract Period
- Contract can be renewed every 2 years
- Should sign NDA to Non Disclosure of Customer Drawing and Data
- Must be ready to travel to all over india/ overseas for on-site Inspection whether it is short term or long term
