Position: Asst Manager- Manufacturing Engineering

Experience (No. of years): 5+ years

Qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B. Tech.)-Regular

Location – Coimbatore

Job Profile:

Process Planning & Management:

·         Key role in devising process & methods that facilitate manufacturing activity (with Safety & Quality)

·         Working for shop floor capacity, machine capacity enhancement and faster material flows

·         Implementation of Machine Capacity Enhancement Project, WIP reduction, NVA elimination, Line balancing projects using lean tools.

Engineering Support:

·         Involved in the Implementation of TPM, Kaizens, ISO/OHSAS 18000 in the manufacturing process

·         Accountable for maintaining process control documents like Control Plan, FMEA, Process Flow Diagram, SOP, etc.

·         Altering the Layout for Fatigue & NVA reduction

·         Revisit/ modify existing jigs, fixtures and tooling to eliminate setup loss

·         Formulate departmental policy and policy deployment till operation level

Product Enhancement:

·         Strategize and implement systems/procedures to comply with company set quality parameters

·         Identify scope for planning, implementing & monitoring the technological changes to enhance efficiency

·         Perform modifications in equipment, process flow to oversee & reduce the conversion cost per unit produced

Man Management:

·         Spearhead workforce, impart continuous training for accomplishing greater operational effectiveness / efficiency

·         Significant role in succession planning of the workforce, rendering technical guidance to the staff, appraising the member’s performance and providing feedback
